Seattle Sound Series, An Update
December 5th 2006 00:55
JUST A QUICK UPDATE...
I am a newish fan of grunge music, more specifically the bands that made the music referred to as 'The Seattle Sound'. A few weeks back, I decided to announce, a bit prematurely, that I would be starting a series on 'The Seattle Sound'. I want to do something in depth to honor these groups and this genre but honestly do not feel like I can do it justice at this point. And you know how I feel about that sort of thing...know your shit or shut up, right? Well, I have decided to shut up on the topic for now and hand over the reins to someone with a bit more experience in the area.
My good friend, Tinkster, who you may know from various comments on this site, is very knowledgeable about this genre. I have asked her to do the series with me as a guest spot. Tinkster will soon be starting her own blog, as yet un-named, that will focus on her concert junkie ways. She has seen everyone you can think of, practically. She is very laid back and I think you will all enjoy her blog.
I encourage all of you to stop by and give it, and her guest post here, a read. The Seattle Sound Series will be a somewhat collaborative effort and will give all of you a chance to get to know Tinkster and her passion for music. I am looking forward to working with her and hope you will all enjoy the final product.
The Series will be kicking off within a week or so...make sure you check it out!

I bow in worshipful reverence at the name...did you know that rumour has it that Lenny Kravitz owns the rights to an authorized biographical screenplay of the great god of rock and plans to take the leading role?? I can only pray its not just a rumour, Lenny will do it justice, I think.
Come back,
Voices~
