You say "goodbye" and I say "hello" - the beatles

Hello, everyone this is Tinkster. I am very happy and grateful to be doing Muzikal Mafia.
My interest in music came at a very early age, thanks to my parents and my siblings. I was a young child when my sisters and my brother were in high school. Instead of Sesame Street, I was doing 'Houses of the Holy' with one sister, 'Baby I Love Your Ways' with another, and 'Carry on my Wayward Son' with my brother. This was quite the sing along.
My first concert was Tom Jones... my mom and a friend of hers took me along when I was around 11 years old.
I love music and I love to go off about it. My CD collection ranges from New Edition to Stone Temple Pilots, or Neil Diamond to Led Zepplin, and yes as Voices mentioned, Mariah Carey.
Okay let's get back to business. We have written about some 80's hair bands, but what about the one man bands? Bryan Adams, Corey Hart, Phil Collins, and .............drum roll please..............and Mr Working Class Dog himself.......RICK SPRINGFIELD.
I loved Rick Springfield. He was so sexy, and on a soap opera too...Dr. Noah Drake of General Hospital, thank you very much.
Mr Springfield started rockin' my world in the early 80's with "Jessie's Girl". Livin in Oz was my favorite album I would have to say. His songs were extremely sexy, and I don't know if I really knew that at the time. hmmm....yeah...I did. My best friend in Jr high and who is still in my life now were very much in love with Rick and his lyrics at 13...Our favorite was...
"I Get Excited"
"Well, you admit you like the game, but you're not gonna play
you just ignore what your body is tryin' to say
I got the fellin' that you're playin' and we're both gonna win
I think this angel is about to sin
I get excited
Just thinkin' what you might be like
I get excited
There's heaven in your eyes tonight
The fire's ignited down below it's burning bright
Oh baby stay we've got all night, all night
Baby please, I can't please if I'm on my knees tonight
No baby you don't look that nervous when you bite your lip
you keep 'em open when we kiss, your a hypocrite
you got my body dancin' tangos in three four time
this angel gonna spread her wings tonight
I get excited
just thinkin what you might be like
I get excited
There's heaven in your eyes tonight
The fire's ignited down below it's burning bright
oh baby stay we've got all night, all night
baby please, I can't please if I'm on my knees tonight."
The way the guitar is played and the beat with those lyrics and you have yourself an incredibly sexy song in my opinion.
My friend and I's dream came true 3 years ago when we saw Rick Springfield at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis,IN. No, we weren't physically 13 anymore, but we still acted like we were! One thing I did notice as an adult, he can really play the guitar.
After the concert it was not enough for my friend, everyone was standing in the front of the Murat waiting for him to come out, so we drove around to the back of the Murat and pulled up behind a bus....sure enough in less than a minute here he came. Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!! We got out of the car, told him that the show was great, and he hugged us both! Our dream had come true. It had taken 18 years, but we did it! And yes... he played Ithe song listed above!
So tell me, did you love/like Rick Springfield? What was your favorite album? What was your favorite song or video? and if like any of the other mentioned above give me a shout, but we will get to them, at least a couple of them anyway. For all you men.....throw it out there....don't be shy....like I said, he could really play guitar.

Yes, I liked Rick but I wasn't a huge fan. I liked 'Jessie's Girl' and that was about it. One of my brother's was a big fan, though. Eventually, I got sick of the song after hearing it nonstop. My brother's ruined a lot of good music for me back in the day...I was much more into John Cougar Mellencamp.
Talk to you soon...(nice sign off, btw...)

Mum's Word
I remember singing along to Jessie's Girl on the radio and my brother told me that I couldn't sing it because I was a girl
Brothers can be mean.
Love & stuff
